Since the hit song "Through the Fire and Flames" was featured in the famous video game Guitar Hero, DragonForce has been touring around the globe in support of their place in the power metal scene. Experience Dragonforce Live at The Fillmore! Metal fans from Minneapolis and all over the region will get to unleash their inner headbanger and sing along to the most aggressive songs in metal at The Fillmore on Sunday, December 6th, 2016 as part of Dragonforce's 20th Anniversary Tour. The entire building will be turned into a 'live' song as Dragonforce fans are some of the most excited fans to see a band perform live and be part of that experience. If you're already familiar with Dragonforce then you already know that they are a fast paced, power-driven, iron clad performance of power metal with some of the most incredible vocals soaring above all the chaos on stage mixed with some of the most incredible guitar work in the form of lightning-fast guitar passages.
Some of the songs that they are going to play are "Through the Fire and Flames" (Famously featured in Guitar Hero III), "Valley of the Damned" and many more of their songs that have made them the legendary band that they are today. They are also going to be playing songs from their latest album, "Warp Speed Warriors" (2024), which is a continued evolution of the band's sound. This album is still the fastest in metal, but also brings in more melodic songs and harder edged songs. Some of the songs that they are going to be playing from this album are "Astro Warrior Anthem" and "Power of the Triforce" and will be played with the same perfection that fans have come to expect from the band. Herman Li, the lead guitarist of Dragonforce, often streams himself playing the solo of songs on his Twitch account. He often explains how he came up with the techniques that he uses to play the complex solos. The band has received many awards and nominations, including several Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards and recognition from Guitar World as one of the 25 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. They are considered to be legends of power metal because of their ability to play extremely fast while still creating very popular songs.
The Fillmore is located in the Minneapolis, MN area. Recently renovated The Fillmore features state of the art sound equipment and a sound system that delivers crisp, and a great venue in which to experience a live show. The Fillmore is an intimate venue with approximately 1,850 seats, in various sections of the room. The sections in which guests can expect to find seating includes general admission on the floor, as well as seating on a raised balcony offering fantastic views of the stage.
